Lesson 161 – Hip Bump

A common sequencing issue in the downswing is to begin turning before the weight has fully transferred to the front side in the downswing. This can create a myriad of issues, mostly effecting the swing path. Creating more rotation of the hips in the backswing is a good idea for increasing total rotation, and limiting how far open the hips can get at impact, compared to a swing with lesser turn in the backswing. Essentially, the more you turn back, the more tie you can take to shift the weight forward before opening up. Golf is easy.
